Lifestyle photography becomes more and more popular but what is lifestyle photography?
Lifestyle photography sits comfortably between traditional portraiture, which is more posed, and documentary photography which isn't posed at all.
Head shots and personal branding photos are more important than ever before for promoting your image in the current market. Whether it’s your LinkedIn, business page or social media site – good photography delivers a visual personality to your brand. More increasingly clients and customers alike are seeking more than just delivery of a service but also want to buy into the person and character of a brand. Having high quality photos allows you to demonstrate your brand values and promote the people behind your business as well as your objectives.
Over the years I have worked in both studio and on-location photography.
One big pro for a studio is you don't have to worry if it is going to rain on the day of your shoot. You also have lights you know and can rely on. Each outdoor session is different and that's why they are so challenging, fun and exciting.
This was a late afternoon Mother's day photo session. I met this wonderful family at their home and mum was still running around trying to find something to wear for the shoot. We took two options with us and we made of both use later. I usually tell my clients to stay away from too busy patterns but what ever you decide to wear, you need to feel comfortable in. It might be your favorite jeans or your treasured top which will give you the confidence for the photo shoot. Maybe think about what you would wear going on a Sunday lunch date in a nice pub.
I love bump photo shoots, they are my favorite. Everyone is excited and can't wait to welcome the baby but also a little bit nervous. Mummies-to-be look so beautiful and radiant, especially in soft natural light.
Hi and welcome to my photography blog.
